We detected your system. The recommended installer is highlighted; the others are one click away. Installing again later only updates the program - your data, settings and work in progress are never touched.
Double-click. Installs to your user profile (no admin rights), creates the drop folder, starts the background engine at sign-in and opens the first-time setup.
irm https://borewatch.com/install.ps1 | iexPowerShell one-liner does the same download and run. Size ~100 MB (Python runtime included).
Installs into ~/.local/borewatch with its own Python environment, adds a launchd agent so the engine runs in the background, and opens the first-time setup.
curl -fsSL https://borewatch.com/install.sh | bashNeeds Python 3.10+ (brew install python@3.12 if missing).
Same script: isolated environment, systemd --user service, first-time setup.
curl -fsSL https://borewatch.com/install.sh | bashPython 3.10+ (apt install python3 python3-venv).
The installer creates a drop folder. Dump anything the rig produces in it - mudlog CSV exports, LAS, WITSML, geology and loss tables (CSV / XLSX), surveys, even zips - in any structure. The engine sorts them by well and kind into Sorted/<WELL>/<kind>/, builds the dashboard objects, encrypts and publishes them, and keeps watching for new files.
Files it cannot classify land in Sorted/_unsorted; rename them with the well name (for example WELL-12_mudlog.csv) and drop them again. borewatch folders prints every path; borewatch sort sorts on demand.
The installer starts a background service and confirms it is running. Files are sorted within seconds, also from zips and from folders named after the well. Check any time with borewatch doctor: it should say background service running. No admin rights needed.
borewatch update upgrades in place, or re-run the installer.Raw_Data, Sorted, the config and the built objects / caches live in your profile and are left alone by every install, update and borewatch uninstall (unless you pass --purge-data).Current engine version: … · data-format guide · release feed
